According to the Farmers Market Coalition, a Farmers Market is “a public and recurring assembly of farmers or their representatives selling the food that they produced directly to consumers.” Farmers Markets benefit everyone. Farmers make more profit off their produce, consumers get fresher product, and the community comes together. In addition to locally grown produce, meat, and eggs, most Farmers Markets offer fresh baked goods, other food vendors, and craft items, as well.
