Vineyards and Wineries of Lubbock and Surrounding Area

We think this list of Lubbock vineyards and wineries (including the surrounding area) will amaze you! Did you know that Lubbock is at the heart of the Texas High Plains American Viticultural Area (AVA)? Of the approximately eight million acres covered by the Texas High Plains AVA, about 4,000 acres are planted to vines. This area cultivates over 80% of Texas wine grapes. Our warm daytime temperatures help to mature grapes, and the cool nighttime temperatures preserve the grapes’ acidity. While we’ve learned to associate Cabernet Sauvignon with Napa Valley, the world is learning to associate Tempranillo with Texas. We hope this list will inspire you to drink more wine from the Texas High Plains AVA!

For your convenience, we’ve put together this list of vineyards and wineries in the Lubbock Area. It’s alphabetized and contains links to websites and social media channels for each. Hopefully we’ve made it easy for you to follow these businesses on social media, visit their websites, and contact them to schedule tours and tastings.
